For carpet, this is by far the best vacuum I have used. It has such strong suction and good wheels that it practically takes itself across the floor. It is easier to handle than Kirby's or Riccor's and out sucks Bissle, Dirt Devil, Oreck, and Dyson. In addition the onboard tools are handy. I like that I do not have to manually plug in the hose every time I want to use the tools like I had to on my old Hoover. In addition, since it takes the same bags and belts as the houselold version of the WindTunnel they are incredably easy to find. Because it uses bags I do not get doused in dust everytime the container needs emptying. The filters are washable so I won't have to constantly shell out thirty dollars for filters.
